Call for papers for the International Conference “SOCIO-CULTURAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS OF FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION (FGM/C): Transnational experiences of prevention and protection”

Terms of Reference: Specialized Translation of Multisectorial Academic Training Guide on FGM/C

On 3 and 4 February 2017, the Gender Equality Observatory of the Rey Juan Carlos University and the Wassu-UAB Foundation will organize an International Conference on “SOCIO-CULTURAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS OF FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION: Transnational experiences of prevention and protection”.
This Conference is the first of four international academic seminars planned to be organized in the framework of the project “Multisectoral Academic Program to prevent and combat FGM/C”, co-financed by the European Commission. This two-days academic event will be hold in the Assembly Hall of the City Council (program available from December 15, 2016).
The Conference be divided in five thematic panels of renowned professors and experts from Europe and Africa. In addition, the organizers have launched an call for communications that will allow researchers to present papers related to the issue of the Congress (Download Call for Papers).
The deadline for submissions is: before January 17, 2017.
Registration will open on December 15, 2017.
