Conference “Management and prevention of female genital cutting/mutilation”
On 13 and 14 March 2017, at the University Hospital of Geneva, in Switzerland, the Universities of Geneva, Brussels and Montreal (the G3 of the Francophonie) organized an international meeting of experts on FGM/C in collaboration with the Department of WHO Reproductive Health and Research. The objectives were to share experiences, data, research and practices on the subject of healthcare management and prevention of FGM/C and on the subject of training for healthcare professionals in order to improve collaboration between experts and researchers and researchers for future international studies and surveys, as well as in order to discuss controversial topics on FGM/C on which there is no consensus or certain data.
